Lev’s Story

Lev Aronson's story is an incredible  example of triumph over tragedy. His blossoming solo cello career was cut short by his internment in concentration camps during World War II, and he was forced to rebuild his career after his escape.

Through his journey relearning how to play the cello, he forged a new path of expression through his playing and teaching. He was Principal Cellist of the Dallas Symphony for many years, and his teaching still resonates with his students to this day. He is now considered one of the most influential cello teachers of all time.
